Pocket Max Revealed: Mangmi Unveils Every Spec in Full

Mangmi has officially lifted the curtain on the Pocket Max, sharing the complete specifications for its next Android handheld gaming device. After weeks of teaser details, the full spec sheet suggests the company is getting ready for a proper launch announcement soon, including a release date and pricing.

The Pocket Max is set to be Mangmi’s second handheld since entering the Android handheld market, and it’s aiming squarely at players who want a big, fast display and capable performance for emulation and Android gaming. Up front, it features a 7-inch AMOLED screen with a 1920 × 1080 resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, a combination designed for crisp visuals and responsive gameplay.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor, a still-popular chipset in the handheld scene thanks to its balance of performance, thermals, and compatibility. Mangmi says there will be only one configuration available, simplifying the buying decision: 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM paired with 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Battery life should be supported by a sizeable 8,000mAh battery, with 27W charging over USB-C. That same USB-C port also supports video output, making it easier to connect to an external display. Alongside USB-C, the Pocket Max includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

For connectivity and sustained performance, the Pocket Max comes with Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and an active cooling fan. Software-wise, it will ship with Android 13 out of the box, giving users access to the Play Store and a wide selection of compatible games and apps.

Mangmi is also leaning into enthusiast-friendly controls. The Pocket Max includes asymmetric TMR thumbsticks with RGB ring lighting, Hall Effect triggers for improved durability and precision, and a 6-axis G-sensor for motion-based functionality. Buttons are another standout feature, with magnetic modular D-pad and ABXY buttons designed for customization, plus two programmable back buttons for extra control options in-game.

In terms of size and weight, the Pocket Max measures 254.87 × 101.06 × 17.45 mm and weighs 450 grams. That makes it heavier than some competing handhelds, but the added weight may come with benefits like a larger battery, active cooling, and a more substantial grip depending on user preference.

Color options confirmed so far include White, Black, and a Retro GB edition for a more nostalgic look.

With the full spec sheet now public, the remaining pieces are the ones shoppers care about most: official pricing and the release date. Based on the timing of this reveal, those details may not be far behind.
