As anticipation builds up around Samsung’s latest wearable innovation, the Galaxy Ring, new details have been revealed that shed light on its anticipated battery life. At the recent Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 held in Barcelona, Spain, notable updates regarding the Galaxy Ring’s performance and longevity have come to the forefront.
Impressive Battery Performance for the Galaxy Ring
The head of Samsung MX (Mobile Experience), TM Roh, unveiled that users can expect the Galaxy Ring to sustain power for up to five to nine days on a single charge. This duration surpasses that of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which is currently recognized as Samsung’s smartwatch with the longest battery life. Users of the new Galaxy Ring can charge the device with pogo pins and an exclusively designed adapter.

Additional features of the Galaxy Ring include health monitoring capabilities. The device is engineered with sensors that can measure blood oxygen saturation levels and track sleep patterns, integrating seamlessly with smartphones and the Samsung Health app. The Galaxy Ring offers a range of well-being tracking functions, such as monitoring heart rate, SpO2, steps, various workouts, and sleep, although it might not include GPS for outdoor exercise tracking.
The diverse appeal of the Galaxy Ring is bolstered by its availability in three color options and multiple sizes, catering to different user preferences. While the official pricing remains under wraps, it is anticipated to be positioned within the $100-$200 range, bridging the gap between the Galaxy Fit 3 and upcoming Galaxy Watch 6. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Ring later in the year, potentially alongside new entries to their foldable phone lineup, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
