Samsung Takes a Swipe at Apple Over the Controversial M4 iPad Pro Advertisement
In a competitive move, Samsung has leveraged the backlash from Apple’s controversial M4 iPad Pro advertisement to promote its Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, emphasizing its respect for creativity. The original ad from Apple depicted a series of musical instruments and artistic tools being crushed under a heavy hydraulic press, ending with the unveiling of the iPad Pro as a supposed symbol of creation—this approach, however, backfired and received heavy criticism from the audience.
Capitalizing on the situation, Samsung swiftly launched its own advertisement appearing to mock Apple’s concept. The campaign features a musician navigating through a debris-riddled space, left in the wake of the hydraulic press from Apple’s commercial, who then proceeds to play on a salvaged acoustic guitar, guided by the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Samsung closes its ad with the statement, “Creativity cannot be crushed,” taking a clear shot at its tech industry rival Apple.
Despite suffering from lower performance benchmarks compared to the new M4 iPad Pro models, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is presented as a beacon of creativity by Samsung. In the world of premium tablets, Samsung has not indicated that a Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will be released imminently, leaving the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra as its flag bearer against the newly available 11-inch and 13-inch M4 iPad Pro models.
Consumers now have the choice between the leading-edge iPad Pro devices from Apple and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, which makes a stand for creative freedom amid the controversy. Samsung’s message is clear: while technology may evolve, the respect for the creative process remains timeless.
