Samsung has quietly introduced its latest addition to the Odyssey G7 series, featuring a 37-inch curved 4K display. This new gaming monitor, named the Odyssey G7 G75F, has made its debut on Samsung’s Malaysian website, yet there’s no official word on its global launch.
The monitor stands out with its unique screen size, only rivaled by ASUS’s ROG Swift PG38UQ which was unveiled at Computex 2023. The 37-inch Odyssey G7 G75F sports a 1000R curvature and a 4K VA panel with a sharp resolution of 3,840 x 2,160. Gamers will appreciate its 165 Hz refresh rate and a rapid 1 ms grey-to-grey response time.
In terms of connectivity, it includes a DP 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB-B port, and a pair of USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports. However, you’ll need external speakers as the monitor doesn’t feature built-in audio.
The Odyssey G7 G75F is equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, HDR10+, and covers 99% of the sRGB color space and 90% of the DCI-P3 gamut. It also boasts VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. A handy software feature, Auto Source Switch+, intelligently detects and connects to new display inputs. Though the stand allows for height adjustments, it lacks support for pivoting or tilting.
The monitor’s dimensions are 816 mm x 483.2 mm x 170.8 mm, extending to 303.8 mm with the stand, and it weighs in at 15.1 kg. Like other Odyssey models, it features customizable RGB lighting around the stand, adding a splash of color to your gaming setup. Priced at RM 4,399, this roughly converts to $1,038.
