Samsung Galaxy M67 5G tipped to arrive with former flagship Exynos 2200 chip
Samsung appears to be preparing a new mid-range smartphone that could stand out from the usual Galaxy M series formula. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M67 5G has reportedly appeared in Geekbench listings, and the most interesting detail is its processor: the Exynos 2200.
That chip may sound familiar because it was once used in Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S22 series and later in the Galaxy S23 FE. If the listing is accurate, the Galaxy M67 5G could bring former flagship-level hardware to a more affordable segment.
The Exynos 2200 is built on a 4 nm process and features an ARM Cortex-X2 prime core clocked at up to 2.8 GHz, three Cortex-A710 performance cores running at 2.52 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores clocked at 1.82 GHz. It also includes the Xclipse 920 GPU, which is based on AMD RDNA 2 graphics architecture and supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
On Geekbench 6, the Samsung Galaxy M67 5G reportedly scored 1,589 points in single-core performance and 3,923 points in multi-core performance. These results suggest that while the Exynos 2200 still has strong single-core power, it may not completely outclass newer mid-range chips in every area.
Compared with the Exynos 1680 expected in the Galaxy A57 5G, the Galaxy M67 5G delivers around 21.2 percent better single-core performance. However, its multi-core score is roughly 10.2 percent lower. This means Samsung’s older flagship processor could offer snappier performance in some everyday tasks, while newer mid-range silicon may still be more efficient in sustained multi-core workloads.
The tested Galaxy M67 5G variant appears to include 8 GB of RAM. The device is also expected to launch with Android 17, making it one of Samsung’s upcoming mid-range phones to watch closely.
For now, details about the Galaxy M67 5G’s camera setup, display, battery capacity, charging speed, launch date, and price remain unknown. However, because the device has already surfaced in benchmark testing, an official announcement may not be far away.
Samsung’s Galaxy M series is known for offering strong value, large batteries, and competitive specifications. If the Galaxy M67 5G does launch with the Exynos 2200, it could become one of the more interesting mid-range Samsung phones of the year, especially for users looking for a balance between performance and price.
