Samsung has introduced an innovative feature—Samsung Education Hub—dedicated to its smart monitors and televisions, designed to offer enhanced educational services to Indian students. This app is developed in partnership with Physics Wallah, a reputable Indian online education provider, and will be accessible on all Samsung smart monitors and TVs launched from 2023 onward.
The Samsung Education Hub is conceived to redefine the utility of televisions in the field of education, allowing students to engage with online learning effortlessly from the comfort of their homes. The app delivers both live and on-demand educational content, catering to students from 6th to 12th grades following the CBSE curriculum in India. Additionally, it encompasses preparatory materials for competitive exams like IIT and NEET. Users already subscribing to Physics Wallah can enjoy free access to the content, while new subscribers can do so by signing up through the smart monitors and TVs.
Launching a celebratory offer, Samsung announces that new users will be granted two months of complimentary access to premium live courses on the Education Hub. The app also introduces access to ‘Physics Wallah Khazaana Content,’ featuring programs from top-tier educators of Physics Wallah. In a bid to further support educational pursuits, Samsung is extending a 20% discount on any premium live course to students who possess an eligible Samsung smart monitor or TV.
Furthermore, Samsung has plans to roll out this educational service to earlier models of smart monitors and TVs released from 2020 onwards, albeit in a staggered manner.
Highlighting the launch, Dipesh Shah, Head of the India Consumer Experience Team at Samsung, emphasized the transformative potential of the Samsung Education Hub. Shah envisions that the new education app, specifically designed for televisions, will elevate online learning experiences considerably, engaging students across the board and facilitating a learning environment without barriers. In Shah’s view, the Education Hub application is pivotal in making educational resources available just through a simple click on the remote.
Samsung also showcased its latest Neo QLED 4K and Neo QLED 8K TVs at CES 2024, emphasizing their role in offering a superior experience, not just for entertainment but for educational purposes too.
