Revolutionary Zone Gaming Handheld and ZBOX Magnus-E Mini PC with Cutting-Edge AMD Strix Point/Halo APUs

ZOTAC made waves at Computex by unveiling its new line of “compact” gaming devices, now featuring AMD’s powerhouse Ryzen AI APUs. These updates have made their Zone handheld and Magnus mini-PC some of the most impressive offerings in the market.

At the forefront, the Zone gaming handheld now boasts AMD’s top-of-the-line Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU. Paired with the Radeon 890M iGPU, this device promises smooth 1080p gaming, positioning itself as one of the speediest options available. Notably, ZOTAC’s choice to forgo the Z-series APUs adds an intriguing twist to their strategy.

In terms of memory and storage, the handheld is well-equipped with options for 24GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. The 7-inch AMOLED display offers 1080p resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 800 nits of brightness, ensuring vibrant visuals. Though still a prototype, the specs suggest ZOTAC aims to deliver a standout device in the handheld market.

Connectivity features in the ZONE handheld include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, accompanied by a built-in kickstand. Its sleek, all-white design is reminiscent of the ASUS ROG Ally but brings a unique touch for those favoring minimalist aesthetics. Pricing and release details remain under wraps, but a launch is expected soon.

Beyond handhelds, ZOTAC also introduced the Magnus-E mini-PC. This new lineup shines with AMD’s “Strix Halo” Ryzen AI MAX 390 APU, powered by Zen5 architecture and offering a 12-core, 24-thread configuration. What truly sets it apart is the AI capability, delivering up to 110 TOPS of AI power via the XDNA 2 engine.

The Radeon 8050S iGPU provides outstanding performance, despite the device’s compact size. With up to 32GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and three PCIe Gen4 SSD slots, the Magnus-E mini-PC doesn’t compromise on power. Thunderbolt 4 support and DP 1.4/HDMI 2.1 display ports further enhance its appeal as a high-end mini-PC.

ZOTAC’s evolution from custom GPUs to these advanced gaming machines marks a significant leap forward. Their latest innovations position them strongly in the competitive tech landscape, showcasing top-tier performance in sleek, compact designs.
