Google has officially announced its upcoming Made by Google 2025 event, set for August 20th, where they’ll unveil the new Pixel 10 lineup and the Pixel Watch 4. This year, Google is shaking things up by launching new hardware earlier than usual, moving the event up from its traditional October spot to nearly a month before the expected announcement of Apple’s iPhone 17.
For the location, Google is returning to New York City from Mountain View, California. Select media will be invited for exclusive hands-on sessions, adding to the excitement of the physical event. The spotlight will be on the Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, along with the Pixel Watch 4. Invitations have already been sent out, giving us a five-week countdown to the big day.
The event is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM PT or 1:00 PM ET and will be live-streamed on YouTube, making it accessible to viewers worldwide. The teaser hints at not just phones and watches, but also earbuds and potentially more surprises. Keep an eye out for detailed coverage as excitement builds.
Expect the focus to be on software and AI innovations, as the design is rumored to stay consistent with current models. However, surprises are always on the table. A key highlight will be the reveal of the new Tensor G5 chip, marking a shift from Samsung to TSMC manufacturing, promising improved power and efficiency. The big question remains: how will it stack up against Apple’s A19 Pro chip and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for Galaxy?
