Redragon Launches a $500 Ryzen 7 8845HS Mini PC Powerhouse with USB 4.0

Redragon’s new MPC745 mini PC targets gamers and power users who want AMD performance in a compact box, with a few thoughtful twists that set it apart. It ships in a single configuration featuring 16 GB of RAM and AMD’s Ryzen 7 8845HS, an 8-core, 16-thread processor paired with the Radeon 780M integrated GPU. That combo should handle everyday workloads and light to moderate gaming with ease, while leaving the door open for more graphics horsepower.

One surprise in the design: of the six USB ports, two are still USB 2.0. That choice may look outdated in 2025, but it can actually help competitive players who use high-performance gaming keyboards such as the Wooting 80HE and GMMK 3 Pro HE, which are known to behave better on USB 2.x than on some USB 3.x ports. The rest of the I/O is more forward-looking, and the inclusion of USB 4 is a standout.

USB 4 support means the MPC745 can connect to an external GPU dock, giving users a straightforward path to desktop-class graphics if they need more frames for AAA titles or GPU-accelerated creative work. It’s a smart way to start small and scale up on your own timeline without replacing the entire system.

Availability is limited for now. The mini PC will be sold only in the US and Canada at launch, and initially appears to be available exclusively through Redragon’s own online store. That may be a sticking point for anyone who prefers the convenience of marketplace returns, but there’s a chance retail options broaden later, as the brand already maintains an official presence on major shopping platforms.

If you’re after a compact AMD-powered desktop with room to grow, the Redragon MPC745 offers a compelling foundation: Ryzen 7 8845HS performance, Radeon 780M integrated graphics for everyday play, and USB 4 for eGPU flexibility when you want more.
