RedMagic 12 Pro+ Teases Sleek Under-Display Camera and Advanced Liquid Cooling Ahead of Debut

RedMagic 12 Pro+ Teased With Under-Display Camera, Liquid Cooling and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6

Nubia is preparing to launch its next high-performance gaming smartphone, and the RedMagic 12 Pro+ is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting Android gaming phones of the year. The latest reveal highlights a bold transparent design, advanced cooling hardware, and Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chipset.

The rear design puts the phone’s gaming identity on full display. Instead of hiding the internal cooling setup, Nubia appears to showcase it through a transparent back panel. The cooling system includes an active fan along with a closed-loop liquid cooling solution, enhanced by RGB lighting for a more aggressive gamer-focused look. This combination is designed to help the phone maintain strong performance during long gaming sessions, especially when running demanding titles at high frame rates.

One of the biggest details visible on the back is the confirmation of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor. That could make the RedMagic 12 Pro+ one of the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s newest flagship mobile platform. For gamers, this should mean faster performance, improved graphics capability, and better efficiency compared to previous-generation hardware.

Nubia is keeping the rear camera setup simple with just two cameras. That is not surprising for a gaming phone, where performance, cooling, display quality, and battery life usually matter more than advanced photography features. However, the camera modules appear to sit flush with the back panel, helping preserve the device’s clean and uninterrupted design.

The RedMagic 12 Pro+ will reportedly be offered in three striking color options: Transparent Ice Blue, Transparent Silver Wing, and Transparent Dark Night. Each version appears to emphasize the phone’s futuristic gaming style while showing off the internal design elements.

Another important improvement is the body design. Nubia claims the RedMagic 12 Pro+ will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, which could make it more comfortable for extended handheld gaming. Gaming phones often struggle with bulk due to large batteries and cooling systems, so a slimmer and lighter design would be a welcome upgrade.

Full specifications have not yet been officially revealed, but more details are expected at the launch event on October 15. Based on what has been shown so far, the RedMagic 12 Pro+ could stand out as a powerful gaming smartphone with an under-display camera, premium cooling technology, RGB styling, and next-generation Snapdragon performance.
