Rayneo X2 True AR Glasses Debut on Crowdfunding Platform with GPT Assistant

The Rayneo X2 True AR Glasses, following their initial release in China, have made their way onto global markets via a crowdfunding campaign. Manufactured by RayNeo, a brand under TCL in China, is introducing its product to a global audience via Indiegogo, led by CEO Howie Li.

These state-of-the-art glasses are engineered with the Snapdragon XR2 platform, designed specifically for mixed-reality devices, providing a 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) experience. A standout feature of the X2 True AR Glasses is their Binocular Full-Color 3D Display, which employs microLED and diffraction optical waveguide technology, ensuring “Crystal Clear Visuals.”

The glasses deliver striking visual quality with a high peak brightness of 1,500 nits and a notable 85% optical transmittance, allowing for the users’ eyes to remain visible to others. This transparency is key for seamless interaction with the physical environment and others while using the glasses.

Language barrier reduction is one of the highlighted features of the Rayneo X2, boasting an ability to provide multi-language dialog translation similar to technologies seen in Galaxy AI products. With real-time translation capabilities powered by Microsoft Azure’s multimodal LLM, users can expect to understand and be understood in various languages.

Adding further value, the glasses integrate GPT for various “AI + AR” functionalities, including voice-activated 3D navigation and virtual assistance. The X2 True AR Glasses are also fitted with a 16MP front-facing camera for capturing high-quality images and videos, paralleling the functionality offered by other industry-leading smart glasses.

Simplifying interaction with the device, Rayneo has incorporated intuitive gesture control, supplemented by the included RayNeo Ring, enhancing the user’s control over the AR experience.

As a special introductory offer on Indiegogo, the Rayneo X2 True AR glasses are available starting at $649, which is approximately 73% of their projected retail price. The crowdfunding campaign has already gathered significant support, with contributions exceeding $60,000.

For those interested in an alternate product offering similar technology, the micro OLED-based Rayneo Air 2s can be found on Amazon.

With the introduction of the Rayneo X2 True AR Glasses to a global audience via crowdfunding, Rayneo is poised to make waves in the AR industry, marrying advanced technology with accessible functionality for a wider user base.
