Raydium Semiconductor is preparing for a slower third quarter in 2026 after a strong second-quarter performance driven by early customer orders for smartphone OLED display driver ICs.
The Taiwan-based display driver IC supplier reported revenue of NT$6.82 billion for the second quarter of 2026. That marks a 25.4% increase from the previous quarter and a 16.6% rise compared with the same period last year. The growth was largely supported by customers pulling forward orders, especially for smartphone OLED display driver chips, as brands moved earlier to secure components.
Raydium said the second-quarter boost was seen across its three major product categories, reflecting healthy demand and inventory preparation among customers. However, because some orders were brought forward into the second quarter, the company expects third-quarter momentum to moderate.
Display driver ICs are essential components used to control how images appear on screens, including smartphones, tablets, monitors, TVs, and automotive displays. OLED display driver ICs, in particular, remain an important growth area as smartphone makers continue to adopt OLED panels across more models, including mid-range devices.
The company’s latest results highlight how timing in the consumer electronics supply chain can significantly affect quarterly performance. While second-quarter revenue benefited from advance stocking, the third quarter may see a more normalized shipment pattern as customers digest inventory.
Despite the expected slowdown, Raydium’s year-over-year growth suggests continued demand for advanced display technology. The broader display driver IC market remains closely tied to smartphone production cycles, panel upgrades, and consumer electronics demand. As OLED adoption continues, suppliers like Raydium are likely to remain important players in the display semiconductor industry.
For now, Raydium’s outlook points to a softer third quarter following a strong revenue surge, with investors and industry watchers likely to focus on whether OLED smartphone demand can sustain growth through the second half of 2026.
