Among the standout models available is LLaVA, a robust large multimodal model (LLM) capable of accepting both text and image inputs. With over 7 billion parameters, LLaVA is supported on devices powered by the robust Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which can handle models with up to an impressive 10 billion parameters. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is optimized for models with up to 7 billion parameters.
To put Qualcomm’s AI model capabilities into perspective, Google’s Gemini Nano comes in two variants, one with 1.8 billion parameters and another with up to 3.6 billion parameters, illustrating the significant processing power that Qualcomm’s solutions offer to developers.
