Casio has officially opened US pre-orders for its new G-Shock collaboration inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu, and the headline model is the GM2100-1ASW G-Steel. Priced at $220, the watch arrives right on time for fans gearing up for the upcoming May 22 film, offering a collector-friendly design without straying far from the proven “CasiOak” formula.
The GM2100-1ASW is built on the GM-2100 platform, keeping the familiar octagonal case and analog-digital layout that helped make the series so popular. What makes this edition stand out is the Mandalorian-inspired look, especially the forged stainless steel bezel finished in a muted gray tone designed to resemble Beskar armor. It’s a subtle, wearable theme rather than an over-the-top character watch, making it easier to pair with everyday outfits while still feeling tied to the Star Wars universe.
In terms of size and wearability, the watch measures 49.3 × 44.4 × 11.8 mm and weighs 72 grams. It pairs a resin strap with the stainless steel bezel, delivering that classic G-Shock blend of comfort and toughness. You still get 200-meter water resistance and shock protection, along with an estimated three-year battery life powered by dual SR726W batteries.
Functionality mirrors what buyers expect from the GM-2100 line. Features include world time covering 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, and a full auto-calendar. Visibility is handled by Casio’s double LED backlight setup for both the dial and the digital display, and a hand-shift function helps keep the readout clear when the hands block the screen.
Casio also leans into the collaboration angle through the extras in the box. Along with the Mandalorian styling, the watch includes a foldable “Bounty Hunter ID” card that turns into a display stand using built-in magnets, giving collectors a simple way to show it off without needing a separate stand.
The collaboration doesn’t stop with one model, either. A second watch based on the BA-110 Baby-G is also available for pre-order, this time with a Grogu-themed design. That model is listed at $130, offering a more affordable entry point for fans who want the theme in a different style.
With both Mandalorian and Grogu editions already up for pre-order in the US, this release looks positioned to land ahead of the May 22 debut, making it a timely pick for G-Shock collectors, Star Wars fans, and anyone who wants a rugged daily watch with a subtle sci-fi twist.
