Xiaomi is expanding its popular Poco lineup with the Poco X8 Pro, a new mid-range smartphone that packs flagship-style features at a surprisingly aggressive starting price. With a large battery, fast wired charging, a modern MediaTek chipset, and an IP68-rated build, the Poco X8 Pro is positioned to be one of the best-value phones in its price range.
On the back, the Poco X8 Pro features a 50 MP primary camera built around Sony’s IMX882 sensor, joined by an 8 MP ultra-wide camera for wider landscape and group shots. Powering everything is a sizable 6,500 mAh battery designed for long daily use, along with 100 W wired charging (PPS) for quick top-ups. Xiaomi also includes 27 W reverse wired charging, letting the phone share power with compatible accessories or another device in a pinch.
Inside, the Poco X8 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The hardware sits in an IP68-certified body built to better handle dust and water exposure than many phones in the same segment. The device measures 157.5 x 75.2 x 8.4 mm and weighs 201.5 g, balancing a solid feel with a relatively slim profile for a phone carrying such a large battery.
For color choices, buyers can pick from Black, White, and Mint Green.
Pricing is especially competitive during launch promotions. Xiaomi is offering the Poco X8 Pro starting at $299 for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage model. If you want more space, the 512 GB version begins at $329 with 8 GB RAM, while the 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage option is priced at $359.
These deals won’t last forever. After the Early Bird period ends, the Poco X8 Pro is expected to retail for $329 for the base configuration, and the 512 GB models will rise by $40 each. For anyone shopping for a new mid-range smartphone with a big battery, ultra-fast charging, water resistance, and strong performance for the money, the Early Bird pricing could be the best time to buy.
