Poco F6 Pro Alleged Leak Suggests It’s a Rebranded Redmi Device

As anticipation builds for Xiaomi’s next flagship unveiling, a recent leak proposes that the Poco F6 Pro could share its DNA with an existing Redmi phone. In what seems to be an ongoing brand strategy, Xiaomi might present the Poco F6 Pro as a reimagined version of the Redmi K70, a device that had already made its debut in China.

Rumors are circulating that the Poco F6 series, including both the standard and Pro models, is set for a global release around May. While official details are scarce, a new leak potentially sheds light on the Poco F6 Pro’s heritage and specifications.

A recent certification by Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) lists a device with the model number “23113RKC6G”. This model number bears striking resemblance to the Redmi K70’s model number “23113RKC6C”, suggesting that the Poco F6 Pro is essentially a rebranded Redmi K70.

This strategy wouldn’t be a departure from the norm for the company, as the Poco F-series has a history of relaunching Redmi phones under its banner. For example, the Poco F5 Pro from the previous year was also a rebadged version of the Redmi K60. Moreover, there are whispers that the standard Poco F6 may turn out to be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Turbo.

Should the speculation hold true, customers can expect the Poco F6 Pro to come equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It may boast a triple camera setup including a 50 MP primary sensor alongside an 8 MP ultra-wide shooter and a 16 MP front-facing camera for selfies. Additionally, the device is likely to feature a robust 120 W wired charging capability.

As the mobile tech community buzzes with the possibility of these developments, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting official confirmation from Xiaomi.
