TCL Unveils Two Budget Smartphones Powered by Helio G100 Turbo and Big LCD Screens

TCL has quietly expanded its global smartphone lineup with two new budget-friendly 4G models: the TCL K70 and TCL K70 Power. Designed to deliver big-screen entertainment and smooth everyday performance at affordable prices, both phones share a similar look and key hardware features, while offering different battery and memory options to suit different needs.

At the center of both devices is a large 6.8-inch LCD display with a 1570 x 720 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. That high refresh rate is a major draw in this price range, helping scrolling, social feeds, and compatible games feel noticeably smoother than typical 60Hz budget phones. With the bigger screen size, the K70 series also targets users who stream video, browse a lot, or simply prefer a wider display for daily use.

The TCL K70 Power is the more feature-packed of the two. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G100 Turbo chipset and can be configured with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Its headline feature is battery life: a 6,500mAh battery paired with 33W wired charging. TCL says the phone can last up to three days on a single charge, making it an appealing option for people who travel, commute, or want to minimize charging downtime.

For cameras, the K70 Power includes a dual rear setup led by a 50MP main camera, along with a secondary lens (not specified). On the front, there’s an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. It also comes with an IP64 rating for splash resistance, adding a bit more confidence for everyday use around dust and light water exposure.

Other practical features round out the package: a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking, stereo speakers with DTS support for better audio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired listening. Connectivity and extras include Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and 4G mobile support.

The standard TCL K70 is positioned as the entry option, offering 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of storage, and a smaller 5,200mAh battery. It keeps the same big 6.8-inch 120Hz display concept, but with more modest memory and battery specs for shoppers focused primarily on price.

Pricing is set at €135.50 for the TCL K70, while the TCL K70 Power costs €174.50 for the 4GB + 256GB version. The phones are available to buy via Lazada in Thailand, with color choices including nebula blue and space gray.

For anyone searching for a low-cost 4G smartphone with a large 120Hz display, the TCL K70 lineup stands out for delivering a bigger-screen experience at a budget price. The K70 Power, in particular, targets users who prioritize battery life, storage, and extra features without stepping into mid-range pricing.
