Samsung has recently started rolling out a new security update to the Galaxy S23 series in the USA. This follows an earlier deployment of the update to its newer model, the Galaxy S24. Presently, the Galaxy S23, including the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra, are receiving this latest update.
March 2024 Security Patch Hits Carrier-Locked Galaxy S23 Models
The latest update for the Galaxy S23 lineup in the United States arrives as firmware version S91xUSQS2BXBD. Currently, this update is exclusive to the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S23 models. The March 2024 security patch aims to address multiple security vulnerabilities identified in the previous software iteration.
Users with a Galaxy S23 series smartphone in the US can look for this update directly on their devices. To do so, access the Settings app, proceed to Software update, and then select Download and install. Alternatively, users have the option to download the latest firmware manually for installation.
There is an anticipation that Samsung will extend this security update to the factory-unlocked Galaxy S23 smartphones in the US market soon. Additionally, it has been suggested that the Galaxy S23 could receive the One UI 6.1 update in South Korea, potentially bundled with the March 2024 security update.
