PlayStation Lights Up the PS5 with Neon Gradient Console Covers and DualSense Controllers

PlayStation is kicking off 2026 with a bold new look for PS5 owners. The company has revealed the Hyperpop Collection, a fresh lineup of DualSense wireless controllers and matching PS5 console covers that lean heavily into modern gaming aesthetic trends—think the glow of RGB-lit setups, but translated into official PlayStation hardware.

Designed around a sleek two-tone gradient, each accessory blends glossy black with vibrant neon accents for a high-contrast finish that stands out on any desk or entertainment setup. PlayStation says the design inspiration comes directly from the colorful lighting commonly seen in gaming rooms, giving the collection a futuristic, nightclub-like vibe without losing the premium feel people expect from first-party accessories.

The Hyperpop Collection launches in three distinct colorways:
Techno Red, a dramatic black-to-neon red gradient made to pop under room lighting
Remix Green, a black base washed with bright green tones for an electric look
Rhythm Blue, a cool blue neon fade that pairs especially well with darker setups

Pricing reflects PlayStation’s premium accessory tier. The Hyperpop DualSense wireless controllers will be priced at $84.99 in the US, €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the UK, and ¥12,480 in Japan. The Hyperpop PS5 console covers come in slightly lower at $74.99 in the US, €74.99 in Europe, £64.99 in the UK, and ¥11,480 in Japan.

If you’re planning to upgrade your PS5 style or want a DualSense controller that stands out from the standard colors, you won’t have to wait long. Pre-orders for the Hyperpop Collection begin January 16, 2026 through PlayStation Direct, with availability also expected at select retailers. The official release date is March 12, 2026.

With neon-gradient finishes, matching console covers, and a look aimed squarely at gamers who love RGB-inspired style, the Hyperpop Collection is set to become one of the most eye-catching PS5 accessory drops of the year.
