In some regions, two out of the three newly revealed controller colors sold out by day two at the official PlayStation online store, showing that limited-run PS5 accessories can disappear quickly even without a tie-in to a major game franchise.
In Germany, the Hyperpop DualSense controllers in Techno Red and Remix Green can no longer be added to the cart, while the Rhythm Blue version remains available to preorder. That kind of fast sell-through is notable because many special-edition controllers typically gain extra momentum from popular themed collaborations, but the Hyperpop collection is driven purely by its bold design and color choices.
If your preferred Hyperpop DualSense controller is already out of stock where you live, there may still be hope. Sony has occasionally reopened preorders after an initial sellout in certain markets, so availability could change again depending on restocks and regional inventory. It’s also worth checking participating retailers, since some stores are also carrying the new Hyperpop controller collection even when the official store’s allocation runs dry.
Availability can vary widely by country, though. At the time of writing, all three Hyperpop DualSense color variants are still available for preorder on Sony’s US online store, suggesting the rollout and stock levels aren’t identical across regions.
The PS5 console covers may be even harder to secure over time. Sony says the matching covers will be offered in limited quantities and only in select markets, with a listed price of $74.99. For now, the covers are still orderable in most places where PlayStation’s direct store is operating, but limited supply usually means they can sell out quickly once interest spikes.
