Pixel 9 Pro XL Owners Face Wireless Charging Issues

Some users have encountered issues when wirelessly charging their new Pixel 9 Pro XL. Reports on platforms like Reddit and Google’s forums indicate that the phone experiences intermittent problems with various wireless chargers, including Google’s proprietary model.

It appears that this is not an uncommon occurrence with new Pixel releases, which often come with initial hardware bugs. Users are notably discontented with the Pixel 9 Pro XL’s wireless charging issues, as even Google’s own charger fails to consistently power the device.

A Reddit user mentioned that Google’s support team is aware of the problem and is working on a solution. Such small hurdles are not unusual for new smartphone models; however, the Pixel series has a history of launch-day complications. The Pixel 9 continues this trend, facing additional challenges such as unsatisfactory performance, battery life concerns, and thermal throttling. The Pixel 8 had its own set of problems at launch as well.

Currently, the wireless charging bug seems to affect only the Pixel 9 Pro XL and only with certain wireless chargers.
