Philips Hue Unveils an Upgraded Smart Lamp Featuring a Handcrafted Shade

Philips has quietly rolled out a refreshed version of its Hue Flourish Table Lamp, giving smart home fans in parts of Europe a brighter, more modern update to a design that originally debuted in 2018. The upgraded smart lamp was first spotted in early 2026 through retailer listings, and it’s now officially available through Philips’ own online store in select countries.

Shoppers in markets like the Netherlands and France can currently purchase the Philips Hue Flourish Table Lamp for €149.99. While the lamp previously appeared in listings from major retailers in countries such as Germany, it doesn’t seem to be widely available there at the moment, suggesting availability may still be rolling out region by region.

The biggest practical upgrade is brightness. The new Flourish Table Lamp uses an A60 E27 LED bulb capable of reaching up to 1,100 lumens, a noticeable jump from the earlier version’s 800 lumens. That extra output should make the lamp more useful not just for mood lighting, but also for everyday tasks where you want stronger illumination.

Longevity is also a key selling point. The bulb is rated for around 25,000 hours of use. And because it’s a replaceable E27 bulb, you’re not locked into the fixture if the light source eventually wears out—you can swap it for the same Philips Hue model later, or choose another compatible smart bulb.

As you’d expect from Philips Hue lighting, the Flourish Table Lamp supports both white and colored lighting, letting you shift from warm, cozy tones to vibrant accent colors depending on the room or occasion. Controls are flexible: you can adjust brightness and effects through the Philips Hue smartphone app or use voice commands if your setup supports it.

For smart home compatibility, the lamp works with Zigbee and supports Matter. Matter integration can make it easier to connect across multiple smart home platforms, particularly when paired with a Hue Bridge, helping the lamp fit into broader home automation routines and multi-device scenes.

Design remains a major part of the Flourish appeal. The lamp features a handcrafted round glass shade sized 261 x 175 mm (about 10.3 x 6.9 inches), aiming for a premium, decorative look that blends into living rooms, bedrooms, and modern home office spaces.

For now, the refreshed Philips Hue Flourish Table Lamp appears limited to certain European countries, and Philips hasn’t confirmed exactly when it will expand to additional markets. If you’re outside the currently supported regions, it may be worth keeping an eye on local availability as the rollout continues.
