Oppo looks set to make 2026 a major year for foldable phones, with fresh reports claiming the company is preparing two new Find N foldables—one aimed at upgrading its current lineup and another positioned to challenge Apple’s still-rumoured iPhone Fold.
The first model is expected to arrive as the successor to the Find N5, and it could land sooner than many people expect. Current chatter points to a China debut as early as next month, followed by a wider release in March. If the timeline holds, this would put Oppo near the front of the foldable race in early 2026 while other brands are still ramping up their next launches.
In terms of specs, the Find N5 replacement is rumored to be built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform and come with 16GB of RAM. Both displays are said to support a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and the battery could jump to a sizable 6,000mAh—an especially noteworthy claim for a foldable, where battery life is often one of the biggest compromises. There’s also talk of a satellite connectivity version, though it may be limited to China.
Camera upgrades could be one of the headline features. The same report suggests a triple rear setup led by a 200MP main camera, backed by a 50MP telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide. If accurate, this would put Oppo’s next compact-style foldable in a very competitive position for mobile photography, especially for users who want a foldable without sacrificing flagship camera hardware. The device is also rumored to weigh roughly 225 grams, which would keep it in a relatively manageable range for everyday use.
The second foldable is where things get even more interesting. Oppo is also rumored to be working on a wider-form-factor model, referred to as the Find N7, that may reuse the same 200MP/50MP/50MP camera combination. This device is allegedly planned for a September unveiling and is being framed as a direct answer to Apple’s long-discussed foldable iPhone plans.
One big question remains: availability. While the earlier model is expected to see a global launch after its China debut, it’s not yet clear whether the wider iPhone Fold rival will be sold internationally, or if it could appear under Oppo’s sister brand OnePlus in some markets.
If these leaks prove accurate, Oppo could end up covering both sides of the foldable market in 2026: a more compact foldable with top-tier specs and cameras, plus a larger “mainstream-style” foldable built to compete with the next wave of premium devices—possibly including Apple’s first foldable.
