Asus ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMTG Goes Global, Bundling Nvidia GeForce Now Support

Asus is getting ready to bring another ultra-wide QD-OLED gaming monitor to a wider audience, and this one has been a long time coming. After first teasing it back at Computex 2025, the company has now confirmed the full specifications for the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMTG, a 34-inch curved display built for high-refresh PC gaming and versatile connectivity.

The big draw is the panel technology. Asus is among the first wave of brands adopting Samsung Display’s Gen 5 QD-OLED, a move that signals improved performance for contrast, responsiveness, and overall image quality compared with earlier generations. While Asus recently highlighted its QD-OLED ambitions with another 34-inch model, the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMTG is the one many gamers have been waiting on because it combines a fast refresh rate, a sharp ultra-wide resolution, and built-in smart functionality.

On paper, the monitor is tuned for smooth competitive play and cinematic single-player sessions alike. You’re looking at a 3440 x 1440 resolution paired with a 240Hz refresh rate, a combo that hits a sweet spot for ultra-wide PC gaming without demanding quite as much GPU power as 4K. Asus is also sticking with a quoted 1,000 nits peak brightness, while full-screen brightness is listed at 250 nits—consistent with what’s typical in this size class for QD-OLED ultra-wide panels.

One practical detail that will matter to everyday use: the screen is curved at 1800R and uses an anti-reflective coating rather than a glossy finish. Some players love the punchy look of glossy screens, but anti-reflective coatings can be a better fit for brighter rooms or setups where you’re battling reflections from windows and lights.

Asus is also leaning into the “monitor plus” idea by keeping Android 14 as part of the package. Earlier plans mentioned shipping with Nvidia GeForce Now pre-installed, and while release timing has shifted since the original target window, the concept remains aimed at giving users a more flexible, entertainment-friendly experience beyond a standard PC-only display.

Connectivity is another strong point, making it easier to slot this ultra-wide OLED monitor into a multi-device setup. Ports include:
1x 3.5mm headphone jack
1x DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC)
2x HDMI 2.1
2x USB 2.0 Type-A
1x USB Type-C with up to 90W Power Delivery

That USB-C port, in particular, is a big convenience for laptop gamers and creators—one cable can handle display output while also charging a connected device up to 90W.

For users who like to fine-tune their picture, Asus is bundling a healthy selection of display tools and software options. These include eight selectable color temperature modes, gamma adjustments, and picture-by-picture (PBP) support, which can be useful if you want to show input from two sources on the same screen for productivity, streaming workflows, or multitasking.

With its 34-inch ultra-wide QD-OLED panel, 240Hz refresh rate, 3440 x 1440 resolution, and Android-based smart features, the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMTG is shaping up to be one of the more feature-packed curved OLED gaming monitors in its class—especially for players who want premium motion clarity without giving up the immersion of an ultra-wide format.
