Oppo is turning heads again in the wearable space with the new Watch X3 Mini, a compact smartwatch that mixes premium materials with feature-packed hardware. While it arrives with a refined look and a notably bright screen, Oppo is also keeping several core components unchanged from last year’s model—suggesting the focus this time is on polish, practicality, and lifestyle features rather than a major performance overhaul.
One of the biggest highlights is the Watch X3 Mini’s AMOLED display, which reaches up to 1,000 nits of brightness. That added brightness should make a real difference outdoors, improving visibility for workouts, navigation, and everyday use in direct sunlight—an area where many smartwatches still struggle.
Under the hood, Oppo sticks with a 354 mAh battery, the same capacity as the previous generation. The chipset also remains Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, paired with 2 GB of RAM. In terms of real-world battery life, Oppo rates the Watch X3 Mini for around 1.5 days with the always-on display turned on, or up to around 2.5 days with always-on display disabled. For shoppers comparing smartwatch battery performance, that places it firmly in the “charge every couple of days” category, especially if you want the always-on experience.
Beyond the basics, the Watch X3 Mini checks many of the boxes people look for in a modern premium smartwatch. It includes built-in GPS for tracking runs and walks without relying on your phone, NFC for tap-to-pay or supported contactless functions, and eSIM support for staying connected even when your phone isn’t nearby. Oppo also adds skin temperature monitoring, a health-focused feature that can be useful for wellness tracking and daily insights.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 1,999 (about $292) for the standard model, while a more luxurious gold variant is set at CNY 2,499 (about $366). Oppo has hinted that a wider release is coming, but the company hasn’t confirmed exactly when the Watch X3 Mini will launch internationally. Still, since the Watch X2 Mini continues to be sold outside China, it’s a strong sign that global availability for the Watch X3 Mini could arrive later this year.
