OnePlus is officially expanding its lineup with a brand-new “Turbo” smartphone series, and the first signs of what to expect are already showing up in early performance tests. A recently spotted Geekbench listing for an unreleased OnePlus device (model number PLU110) strongly suggests this is the upcoming OnePlus Turbo, and it gives a clearer picture of where the phone will sit in OnePlus’ range: strong upper mid-range performance at a lower price than the company’s more premium alternatives.
According to the benchmark entry, the OnePlus Turbo is paired with 16 GB of RAM and is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The CPU configuration shown includes multiple Cortex-A720 cores spread across three clusters, with peak clock speeds reaching around 3.0 GHz, plus additional clusters around 2.8 GHz and 2.0 GHz. In practical terms, this chip choice signals that OnePlus is aiming for near-flagship responsiveness—fast app launches, smooth multitasking, and solid gaming performance—without positioning the Turbo as its top-tier powerhouse.
In Geekbench 6.5, the leaked results average around 2,143 for single-core and 6,883 for multi-core performance. That puts the OnePlus Turbo in the same general performance neighborhood as popular value-focused phones such as the Poco F7, while coming in slightly behind the Nothing Phone (3) by roughly a small single-digit margin. The bigger picture is that the Turbo appears to trade blows with the OnePlus 13R and lands well below the newer OnePlus 15R, which is expected to remain the more premium option.
Beyond benchmarking, rumors point to a spec sheet designed to stand out in the crowded mid-range Android market. The OnePlus Turbo is said to feature a fast 165 Hz OLED display—ideal for fluid scrolling and high-frame-rate gaming—alongside a massive battery reported to be around 9,000 mAh. If accurate, that battery capacity could be a major selling point for buyers who prioritize long endurance, especially in regions where big-battery phones are in high demand.
As for launch timing, current expectations suggest OnePlus will introduce the first Turbo model next month in China. International availability hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the early benchmark appearance indicates the device is progressing quickly toward release.
If OnePlus delivers a competitive price, the OnePlus Turbo could become a standout choice for shoppers looking for Snapdragon 8-series-class performance, a high refresh rate OLED screen, and potentially class-leading battery life—without stepping up to the brand’s pricier models.
