OnePlus is getting ready to unveil its next compact flagship, the OnePlus 15T, and the company has now locked in the official date for its launch event in China. After teasing key features earlier this month, OnePlus China has confirmed the full event schedule, giving fans a clear timeline for when the phone will be officially introduced.
The OnePlus 15T will debut in China on March 24 at 19:00 local time. So far, OnePlus hasn’t confirmed when (or if) the device will launch globally. However, there’s a strong chance it could arrive in select regions under a different name. Last year’s OnePlus 13T was released in certain markets outside China as the OnePlus 13s, which means the OnePlus 15T could potentially be rebranded as the OnePlus 15s for international buyers.
OnePlus has already shared several confirmed specifications, and the biggest selling point appears to be its balance of flagship power in a smaller, easier-to-handle size. The most notable difference between the regular OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus 15T is the display. While the standard model uses a larger 6.78-inch screen, the 15T features a smaller 6.32-inch panel aimed at people who want a more compact premium phone. Despite the reduced size, it still targets high-end performance with a smooth 165Hz refresh rate. OnePlus is also highlighting its design, including slim 1.1mm symmetrical bezels for a more uniform, modern front look.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15T is expected to deliver top-tier speed thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which has been spotted in benchmarking information. Battery life could be another major headline feature: the device is confirmed to pack a 7,500mAh battery, paired with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Even with that large battery, the phone is listed at 194 grams, which suggests OnePlus is aiming to keep it feeling relatively manageable in hand.
Camera hardware also gets a clear upgrade focus with a periscope telephoto lens that supports 3.5x optical zoom, a feature often reserved for larger flagship phones rather than compact models. That should help the OnePlus 15T appeal to users who want better long-range shots without stepping up to an oversized device.
Pricing remains the biggest unanswered question. The previous model launched at 3,399 yuan (around $446), but it’s unclear whether the OnePlus 15T will stay near that range. With recent price increases across some devices in China, there’s a possibility the new model could cost more than its predecessor.
With an official March 24 launch date now confirmed and a growing list of headline specs—compact display, 165Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon flagship chipset, huge battery, fast charging, and a periscope zoom camera—the OnePlus 15T is shaping up to be one of the more interesting small flagship phones to watch this year.
