Nvidia GeForce Game Ready Driver 561.09 Brings DLSS 3 and Reflex Support to Final Fantasy XVI, Frostpunk 2, and God of War Ragnarok

Nvidia has just unveiled a fresh driver package, boosting the version from 560.94 to 561.09. While components like PhysX and HD audio drivers remain untouched, the video driver itself gets the all-important upgrade. Although this update might not introduce any new G-Sync displays, it does offer exciting zero-day support for three highly-anticipated games, numerous fixes, and optimal settings presets for an additional three titles.

Final Fantasy XVI now benefits from DLSS 3 with both Super Resolution and Frame Generation support, as well as DLAA and Reflex. To harness these enhancements, you’ll need a GeForce RTX 40 Series GPU, and both desktop and laptop versions are fully compatible. Mark your calendars, as this game hits the shelves on September 17th.

God of War Ragnarok is set for a September 19th release and enjoys the same optimizations as Final Fantasy XVI, requiring similar hardware to unlock these visual and performance upgrades.

Set to launch on September 20th, the city-building survival game Frostpunk 2 uses the powerful Unreal Engine 5. Although Nvidia didn’t get into the specific details, it’s confirmed that the game receives zero-day support from this new driver package.

Meanwhile, EA Sports FC 25 officially drops on September 27th, but those with the Ultimate Edition pre-order can dive in as early as September 20th, enjoying a whole week of early access.

The update doesn’t stop there. Alongside three minor issue fixes concerning the Nvidia app, GeForce Experience, and Chaos V-Ray, the new driver package also introduces optimal settings profiles for three more games. With just one click, you can now optimize Black Myth: Wukong, F1 Manager 2024, and Star Wars Outlaws.

If you’re looking to upgrade your desktop with a GeForce RTX 40 Series GPU, here’s a deal for you: the MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ventus 2X 12G OC is currently available on Amazon for $539.99, down from its regular price of $599.99, thanks to a 10% discount.

This latest driver update from Nvidia not only prepares gamers for some of the most awaited releases but also ensures they can experience these games at their finest, right from day one. Don’t miss out on these enhancements that promise richer visuals and smoother gameplay.
