MSI arrived at CES with a clear message for PC builders: safer power delivery, stronger cooling, and showpiece cases that put premium hardware on display. Across new power supplies, air coolers, liquid coolers, and a flagship chassis, the company’s latest announcements focus on reliability, performance, and the kind of features enthusiasts actively look for when building a high-end gaming PC or workstation.
One of the biggest highlights is a new protection feature called GPU Safeguard+. With today’s power-hungry graphics cards increasingly relying on 16-pin power connectors, connector safety has become a major talking point—especially after well-publicized reports of overheating and melting issues on top-tier GPUs. MSI’s approach is to add real-time monitoring and warnings directly through its software. If abnormal current fluctuations are detected, users can receive an on-screen alert in MSI Center, and the power supply can also trigger an audible buzzer to draw attention immediately.
This GPU Safeguard+ feature is being introduced in MSI’s MPG Ai series power supplies, including the MPG Ai1600TS PCIe5 and MPG Ai1300TS PCIe5. These models are designed to deliver stable power via a 12V-2×6 connector and target high efficiency as well, with 80 Plus Titanium ratings aimed at users who want cleaner power delivery and better overall efficiency for demanding systems.
MSI is also bringing the same GPU Safeguard+ technology to more mainstream options in its MAG lineup. The MAG A1200PLS PCIe5 and MAG A1000PLS PCIe5 are positioned as mid-range choices built for uninterrupted, reliable operation—while still offering the added peace of mind of connector and GPU protection features that are especially relevant for high-end GPUs.
Cooling also gets a serious upgrade. For all-in-one liquid cooling fans, MSI introduced the MEG Coreliquid E15 360, an enthusiast-class AIO designed around stronger heat dissipation and improved airflow behavior. It uses a thicker 31mm radiator and a TriFlow Reversal fan design intended to reduce turbulence and improve airflow efficiency. MSI is also leaning into aesthetics and system monitoring with a standout display feature: a 6.67-inch 2K curved OLED screen with a 110-degree curvature that can show hardware metrics or custom visuals.
Air cooling isn’t left behind either. MSI revealed two high-end dual-tower coolers, the MPG Corefrozr AP15 and AP17, both built for builders who want strong thermal performance without committing to liquid cooling. Each includes a dedicated hardware monitoring display. The AP15 features a Digi Display and is described as being tuned to boost the thermal performance of AMD X3D processors, while the AP17 leans into both cooling capacity and presentation with an 8 x 6mm heat pipe layout and a large 6-inch LCD meant to keep key system stats visible at a glance.
To complement these visually striking coolers, MSI also showcased a flagship case built to put components front and center. The MEG MAESTRO 900R is a panoramic-style PC chassis featuring tempered glass on three sides, emphasizing clean presentation and a premium desk-ready look. MSI describes it as spacious and built with premium materials, with plenty of room to accommodate modern, high-end components—making it a natural match for larger GPUs, robust cooling setups, and showcase-style builds.
With these CES launches, MSI is clearly targeting enthusiasts who want more than raw specs. The latest lineup focuses on smarter protection for modern GPU power connectors, higher-end cooling solutions with built-in monitoring, and a panoramic chassis designed to make the entire build look as impressive as it performs.
