Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ leak reveals stylish colors, huge battery, and 144Hz OLED display
Motorola appears to be preparing another eye-catching addition to its Edge lineup, with the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ now surfacing in fresh details. Based on the latest information, the phone will carry a design language that closely resembles the Motorola Edge 70, but with a slightly thicker body and a more premium-looking finish.
One of the biggest highlights is the color selection. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is expected to launch in three distinctive Pantone shades: Zinfandel, a bold red tone; Stormy Sea, a turquoise-inspired finish; and Chicory Coffee, a warm brown option. These colors suggest Motorola is continuing its recent focus on fashion-forward smartphone design, giving users more personality-driven choices beyond the usual black and silver finishes.
While Motorola has not officially confirmed the full specifications, pricing, or launch date of the Edge 70 Pro+, early rumors point to a powerful mid-range device with several flagship-style features.
The smartphone is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, which could give it strong performance for gaming, multitasking, and everyday use. If accurate, this processor would position the Edge 70 Pro+ as a serious competitor in the premium mid-range smartphone segment.
The display may be another major selling point. Reports suggest the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ will feature a large 6.8-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. That would make scrolling, gaming, and animations feel extremely smooth. The panel is also rumored to offer a peak HDR brightness of up to 5,200 nits, which could make it one of the brightest displays in its class and ideal for outdoor visibility, streaming, and HDR content.
Camera performance also looks promising on paper. The Edge 70 Pro+ is said to include a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, giving users more flexibility for landscape shots, group photos, and creative perspectives. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera is expected, which could appeal to users who frequently take selfies, record videos, or join high-quality video calls.
Battery life may be another standout feature. The phone is rumored to pack a large 6,500mAh battery, which should offer excellent endurance for heavy users. Whether for gaming, streaming, navigation, or social media, this capacity could help the device last comfortably through a full day and possibly longer depending on usage.
Charging is also expected to be fast, with support for up to 90W wired charging through USB-C. That would allow the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ to recover battery power quickly, reducing the need to stay plugged in for long periods.
On the software side, the device is expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola is also rumored to provide at least three major Android updates, which would give buyers a longer software support window and help keep the phone relevant over time.
For now, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ remains unofficial, and key details such as pricing, market availability, storage options, and the complete camera setup are still unknown. However, if the leaked specifications are accurate, the Edge 70 Pro+ could become one of Motorola’s most appealing mid-range smartphones, combining a stylish design, vibrant OLED display, large battery, fast charging, and a capable chipset.
