Moto S50: Motorola Announces Launch Date for Anticipated Mid-Range Smartphone

Motorola will officially release the Moto S50 on September 5. Following the launch of the Moto S50 Neo earlier this year, the new Moto S50 is set to compete with Realme and Xiaomi models, featuring hardware like the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and a 50 MP camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).

The Moto S50 is confirmed to exist, following the earlier release of the Moto S50 Neo. Motorola has been quite active recently, updating its Razr foldable lineup with the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra, retailing for around $899.99. Additionally, the company has launched several devices globally. However, unlike these global releases, the Moto S50 is expected to be available only in China and nearby markets. While not officially confirmed, it seems the Moto S50 is a rebranded version of the Edge 50 Neo.

The Moto S50 will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset and will come with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 2.2 flash storage. Its camera setup includes the Sony IMX896 sensor, which offers a native 50 MP resolution with OIS. Motorola has yet to announce the pricing for the Moto S50, but it will be fully unveiled on September 5 at 10:00 China Standard Time (02:00 UTC).
