Minix has unveiled the Neo Z95, a compact and budget-friendly mini PC built for everyday computing. It runs on Intel’s N95 processor, an entry-level Alder Lake-N chip introduced in early 2023. While it has since been succeeded by newer options like the N150 and N200, the Intel N95 is still well-suited for common tasks such as web browsing, streaming, light office work, and basic productivity.
In terms of memory and storage, Minix is keeping things simple with a single configuration. The Neo Z95 comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD. This setup should feel responsive for day-to-day use, especially compared to older mini PCs that often ship with slower memory or smaller drives. Storage is upgradeable, which is a big plus for buyers who may want to expand capacity later. The trade-off is that the RAM is soldered, meaning it can’t be upgraded.
One of the biggest draws is the tiny footprint. Minix describes it as pocket-sized, and the dimensions back that up: 88 x 88 x 43 mm. Despite being so small, it still offers a surprisingly useful selection of ports, including three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, dual 1Gb Ethernet (LAN) ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
With one DisplayPort and two HDMI connections, the Neo Z95 supports triple-display output. That said, it’s important to keep expectations realistic: this is not a high-performance workstation, and the Intel N95 isn’t designed for heavy multitasking loads or demanding workflows across multiple screens. For lighter multi-monitor setups—like email, documents, dashboards, and browsing—it should be a practical fit.
Minix also includes an active cooling system aimed at keeping temperatures under control during sustained use, and the chassis is designed with a clean, sleek finish to match modern desk setups or living-room installations.
Pricing and availability haven’t been officially confirmed yet. However, mini PCs based on the Intel N95 commonly land around the $230 range, depending on the brand and configuration. Since Minix already has the product page live, the Neo Z95 is expected to become available for purchase soon.
