Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle Brings Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War to Nintendo Switch 2
Aspyr Media has announced Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle, a new collection that brings two acclaimed action-adventure games together for Nintendo Switch 2. The bundle includes Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition and Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition, giving players the complete modern Middle-earth experience in one package.
Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 30. Preorders are now available with a limited-time 50% discount, reducing the price from $69.99 to $34.99 until launch. Players who prefer to buy only one title will also be able to purchase each game separately.
This collection is aimed at fans of open-world action, fantasy adventure, and The Lord of the Rings universe. Both games place players in the brutal lands of Mordor, where every battle can shape the world around them through the celebrated Nemesis System.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an award-winning action-adventure game that has earned more than 50 honors, including Game of the Year, Best Action/Adventure Game, and recognition for innovation in gaming.
The story begins on the night Sauron returns to Mordor. His Black Captains attack the Rangers of the Black Gate, brutally destroying Talion’s life and taking everything from him. After being killed alongside his family, Talion is brought back from death by a mysterious spirit of vengeance. Bound together, Talion and the spirit begin a dangerous journey to uncover the truth behind their connection, the origins of the Rings of Power, and the dark forces rising across Mordor.
What makes Shadow of Mordor stand out is its Nemesis System. This feature creates unique enemies that remember previous encounters, grow stronger, adapt to the player’s actions, and develop personal grudges. No two players experience the same hierarchy of Orc captains and war chiefs, making every campaign feel personal and unpredictable.
Players explore the open-world regions of Mordor, build Talion’s legend, battle Sauron’s armies, and turn enemies against one another. The Game of the Year Edition includes the full base game along with previously released downloadable content.
Included content in Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition:
Lord of the Hunt Campaign Expansion lets players explore more of Mordor’s dangerous wildlife and use its fiercest beasts against Sauron’s forces.
The Bright Lord Campaign Expansion allows players to take control of Celebrimbor, the powerful Elven Lord of the Second Age, as he battles Sauron and unlocks the ability to wield the One Ring.
Guardians of the Flaming Eye Warband Mission challenges players to face elite defenders before the Black Gate and earn the Wolf’s Head rune.
Bonus Warband Missions, Runes, and Skins add more enemies to defeat, weapon upgrades to unlock, and appearance options for Talion.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition
Middle-earth: Shadow of War expands on the foundation of Shadow of Mordor with a larger world, deeper battles, and a more ambitious story. In this sequel, players forge a new Ring of Power, build armies, conquer fortresses, and take the fight directly to Sauron and his Ringwraiths.
The game offers massive fortress assaults, more personal rivalries, and an expanded version of the Nemesis System. Players can dominate Orcs, recruit followers, strengthen their army, and use strategy to take control of Mordor from within.
The Definitive Edition includes the Sword of Dominion bonus weapon and all major expansions, making it the most complete version of Shadow of War.
Included content in Shadow of War Definitive Edition:
Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion puts players in the role of Baranor, Captain of the Tower from Minas Ithil. This expansion sends players deep into the Eastern Deserts of Mordor, where they must raise an Easterling army and open a new front in the Shadow War.
Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion follows Eltariel, the Blade of Galadriel, as she hunts a newly created Ringwraith. This expansion introduces a dual-wield combat style, powers based on the Light of Galadriel, and the ability to use the New Ring.
Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion introduces one of Mordor’s most violent factions. Known for their brutality and savage combat style, the Slaughter Tribe brings new enemies, missions, fortresses, and gear.
Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion adds a rebellious faction that rejects both the Dark Lord and the Bright Lord. The Outlaw Tribe fights for the Age of the Orc and brings new followers, enemies, weapons, armor, and battlefield threats.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version is optimized for offline play. The Garrison can be used offline, allowing players to reassign undeployed Orc followers across different regions while playing on the go. Because of this offline-focused design, Online Conquests, Vendettas, Fight Pits, Chests, and Training Orders are not included in this release.
With both complete editions included, Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle gives Nintendo Switch 2 players a full journey through two of the most memorable action games set in Tolkien’s fantasy world. From Talion’s personal quest for revenge to large-scale fortress warfare against Sauron’s armies, the collection offers hours of open-world combat, exploration, strategy, and story-driven adventure.
Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 30, with preorders currently available at a discounted price of $34.99 until release.
