MediaTek Dimensity 9500 debuts with big gains in speed, graphics, and efficiency
MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 is official, and it arrives with meaningful upgrades over the Dimensity 9400 that should be felt across everyday use, gaming, and camera performance. The company is touting sizable CPU and GPU improvements, along with notable power savings that promise cooler operation and longer battery life.
According to MediaTek, the Dimensity 9500 delivers:

– Around 16% faster multi-threaded performance
– A 33% GPU performance boost with the Mali G1-Ultra
– Up to 119% faster hardware-accelerated ray tracing
– 37% better efficiency under CPU load
– 42% better efficiency in GPU-heavy tasks
Beyond raw speed, the platform packs a range of next-gen features. There’s support for UFS 4.1 storage for quicker app launches and file transfers, the upgraded NPU 990 to accelerate on-device AI tasks, and the Imagiq 1190 imaging engine designed to enhance photo and video quality in challenging lighting.
The first wave of phones powered by the Dimensity 9500 will include the Oppo Find X9 and Vivo X300, plus their Pro variants. These models are slated to launch in mid-October, with global availability confirmed for the Find X9 series.
