Anticipated to be a formidable contender in the high-end processor space, the new chip is set to power future smartphones, potentially including the Vivo X200.
Leaks from credible sources in the tech sphere have suggested that the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 could be a serious competitor to the likes of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the Apple A18 Pro. One of the most notable features of the Dimensity 9400, identified by the model number MT6991, is its central processing unit’s core configuration, which includes a single Cortex-X5 “super core” and three Cortex-X4 cores.
An interesting detail to emerge about the Dimensity 9400 is its core clock speeds. The Cortex-X5 super core is rumored to run at a clock speed of approximately 3.4 GHz, which already surpasses the Dimensity 9300’s Cortex-X4 cores that top out at 3.25 GHz. This improvement suggests that even before its release, the Dimensity 9400 is set to offer an edge over its predecessor.
While promising, the Dimensity 9400 is speculated to have a lower peak clock speed compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which could boast frequencies of up to 4.2 GHz.
