MediaTek Dimensity 7500 benchmark results show a strong CPU upgrade over Dimensity 7400
MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7500 chipset is already starting to show what it can do, and early Geekbench results suggest a meaningful performance jump over the previous Dimensity 7400. The new mobile processor has appeared in benchmark testing inside the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition, giving a first look at how MediaTek’s latest mid-range platform performs in real-world testing.
According to the Geekbench 6 listing, the Dimensity 7500 achieved a single-core score of 1,243 and a multi-core score of 3,569. That is a noticeable improvement compared with the Dimensity 7400, which delivered around 1,050 in single-core testing and 2,939 in multi-core performance when tested in a Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G.
In practical terms, the Dimensity 7500 appears to offer roughly a 20% CPU performance boost over its predecessor. That is a solid generational improvement for a chipset aimed at upper mid-range and sub-premium smartphones. For users, this could mean smoother app launches, faster multitasking, better responsiveness, and improved overall system performance.
One of the biggest changes in the Dimensity 7500 is the move to ARM’s newer C1 cores. The older Dimensity 7400 relied on Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 CPU cores, while the newer architecture in the Dimensity 7500 brings a more modern core design. This shift is important not only for raw performance but also for efficiency.
While the early CPU scores are promising, battery life and thermal performance will be just as important. A chipset can look strong in benchmark tests, but its real value depends on how well it balances speed, power consumption, and sustained performance during gaming, video recording, navigation, and everyday use. The move to newer cores could help the Dimensity 7500 deliver better efficiency, but that will become clearer once more devices using the chip are tested.
The Vivo S60 Vitality Edition is expected to be the first smartphone powered by the Dimensity 7500. The device was recently announced in China alongside the Vivo T5, with pricing starting at CNY 2,899, which is roughly $430. That places it in a competitive segment where performance, battery life, display quality, and camera features all play a major role in attracting buyers.
The early benchmark results suggest that MediaTek is continuing to strengthen its position in the mid-range smartphone chipset market. With the Dimensity 7500, the company appears to be targeting users who want near-flagship responsiveness without paying flagship prices.
More benchmark results and real-world reviews will be needed to fully judge the Dimensity 7500, especially in areas such as gaming performance, heat management, battery drain, and AI-related tasks. Still, based on the first Geekbench numbers, MediaTek’s latest processor looks like a clear step forward from the Dimensity 7400 and could become a popular choice for upcoming Android phones in 2026.
