Maxsun’s latest AI workstation push tackles an old problem with a smart new twist: how to fully populate a seven-slot motherboard with high-end GPUs without running into clearance issues. The answer is a single-slot, liquid-cooled version of the Arc Pro B60 48G, created in partnership with Japanese hardware maker Abee. By swapping the dual-slot shroud for a custom liquid cooling solution, the Arc Pro B60 48G Liquid Edition shrinks to a true single-slot design, freeing up every PCIe 5.0 x16 slot on Maxsun’s W790 motherboard.
This redesign does more than save space. With loop connectors positioned along the right edge of each card, the GPUs are ready for clean, scalable plumbing inside the roomy, well-ventilated Abee Designer C700W chassis, which supports large radiators and robust airflow. The result is a denser, more efficient build that maintains full-speed bandwidth across all seven x16 slots while improving thermals and reducing noise under sustained AI workloads.
For creators, researchers, and engineers, the payoff is significant. Maxsun’s original configuration topped out at four dual-slot Arc Pro B60 48G cards due to physical constraints, delivering up to 192 GB of GDDR6. The new single-slot liquid-cooled setup raises the ceiling to seven GPUs for a massive 336 GB of GDDR6—about 1.75 times more memory than the previous quad-GPU arrangement. That added VRAM capacity is tailor-made for AI training and inference, large 3D projects, and complex data pipelines that demand both compute and memory headroom.
Key highlights:
– Single-slot Arc Pro B60 48G Liquid Edition co-developed with Abee
– Fits seven GPUs across the W790 motherboard’s full-speed PCIe 5.0 x16 slots
– Right-edge liquid connectors for streamlined tubing and easier loop design
– Optimized for the spacious Abee Designer C700W case with support for big radiators
– Up to 336 GB of GDDR6 across seven cards, ideal for heavy AI and content creation workloads
Pricing hasn’t been finalized. The liquid-cooled variant is expected to sit above the standard Turbo edition, with estimates in the $1,300–$1,500 range per card, putting a seven-GPU array around $9,000–$10,000 before considering the rest of the system. Official pricing and availability for both the Arc Pro B60 48G Liquid Edition and Maxsun’s AI workstation are still to come.
