LinuxHub Prime, the Arch-based project built for people who like to customize and remix their Linux experience, has rolled out a new update: LinuxHub Prime 3.1.5. This is the third refresh released this year, following version 3.1.3 in January and 3.1.4 in February, and it focuses on improving the live ISO experience, polishing the installer workflow, and updating desktop components across the board.
One of the biggest practical improvements in LinuxHub Prime 3.1.5 is the upgraded live ISO. It’s now designed to be easier to use out of the box and includes an option to change screen resolution directly in the live environment, which can be especially helpful when booting on high-DPI displays, unusual monitor setups, or hardware that doesn’t auto-detect the best resolution.
Installation and onboarding also get a noticeable lift in this release. The Calamares installer has improved error handling, helping the installation process feel more reliable when something goes wrong. In addition, the main installer screen has been updated, Terminal configurations used during installation have been refreshed, and the project’s installers are now organized using environment categories to make choosing a desktop or window manager clearer and faster.
Desktop and visual updates are another key part of the 3.1.5 release. Plymouth has been updated, and both the Welcome and Config apps have been refreshed as well, continuing the project’s push toward a smoother first-run experience. Conky support has also been added, giving users an easy way to display system stats and widgets on the desktop—something many customization-focused Linux users appreciate.
LinuxHub Prime 3.1.5 also continues the project’s emphasis on flexibility. It remains a distro that supports creating custom respins from the live ISO, and it keeps its one-click approach for installing a range of desktop environments and window managers. In this update, all desktops and window managers have been updated, and monitor settings for all window managers have been integrated with display managers, aiming to reduce common multi-monitor headaches.
Budgie users get specific version updates as well: LinuxHub Prime now uses Budgie 10.9 for X11 and Budgie 10.10 for Wayland, reflecting the project’s efforts to keep both display server options in good shape.
As a small bonus for anyone downloading the latest build, the 3.1.5 ISO is slightly smaller than the previous release—about 2.5 GB compared to 2.6 GB for version 3.1.4.
Overall, LinuxHub Prime 3.1.5 is a quality-focused Arch-based update that improves installation reliability, enhances the live ISO usability, and delivers wide-ranging updates across desktops and window managers—while staying true to its core goal of making customization and respins simple and accessible.
