Lenovo’s New 14-Inch ThinkPad Goes Global With 5G and Up to 64GB RAM

Lenovo has expanded global availability for its new 14-inch ThinkPad T14s Gen 7, bringing the business-focused laptop to several key markets with premium configuration options, AMD processor choices, and optional 5G cellular connectivity. The latest model targets professionals who need a lightweight productivity machine with strong mobility features, though some anticipated display upgrades are not yet available at launch.

One of the biggest talking points is the display selection. While Lenovo’s product specifications previously listed an OLED panel with a sharp 1800p resolution and a 120 Hz variable refresh rate, that option is currently unavailable to configure. For now, buyers can only choose IPS displays with 1200p resolution and 60 Hz refresh rates. Two of the available IPS panels are rated at up to 500 nits, which should still make the laptop suitable for bright offices, travel, and outdoor work environments.

The ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 remains positioned as a premium business laptop, and its pricing reflects that. In Australia, the laptop starts at AUD 2,024, while Canadian pricing begins at CAD 3,359. In the Eurozone, entry-level pricing starts at €2,429. Other regional starting prices include HKD 12,403 in Hong Kong, MYR 6,074 in Malaysia, and SGD 2,684 in Singapore.

In the United States, the AMD-powered ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 starts at $2,129. That higher starting price is partly due to the included 32 GB of RAM, making the base configuration more capable than many entry-level business laptops. However, the AMD version is noticeably more expensive than Intel Panther Lake-based configurations, which are currently priced from $1,739.

That makes the AMD model roughly 22% more expensive than its Intel counterpart. For buyers comparing the two, the decision may come down to processor preference, memory needs, enterprise requirements, battery expectations, and long-term performance priorities.

With 5G support, a compact 14-inch form factor, and the durability expected from the ThinkPad lineup, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 is clearly aimed at business users who want a modern laptop for hybrid work, travel, and secure productivity. Still, the absence of the OLED 1800p 120 Hz display option at launch may disappoint users hoping for a more premium screen experience.

For now, Lenovo’s new ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 offers strong mobility-focused hardware and broad international availability, but shoppers interested in the OLED display may want to wait and see if Lenovo adds that configuration later.
