Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 Launches with 32GB RAM, Intel Core Ultra Options, and Two Battery Choices
Lenovo has started rolling out the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 internationally, giving business users and productivity-focused buyers a new compact laptop option with strong memory specs and Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors.
The new 13-inch ThinkPad is currently available in select markets, including Germany, where Lenovo is offering the device in two configurations. While the laptop brings a familiar ThinkPad design and practical hardware choices, the launch lineup remains fairly limited for now.
At the moment, the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 can be configured with either a 41 Wh battery or a larger 54.7 Wh battery, giving buyers some flexibility between portability and longer battery life. However, display options are more restricted. The laptop currently tops out with a 1200p IPS panel rated at 400 nits of brightness and a 60 Hz refresh rate.
For users hoping for a higher-resolution screen, OLED panel, or faster refresh rate, Lenovo has not yet confirmed whether additional display configurations will be introduced later.
In Germany, the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 starts at €2,199, which is roughly $2,516. The base model includes an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. That amount of memory should make the laptop appealing to professionals who need reliable multitasking performance in a compact form factor.
Lenovo also offers a processor upgrade to the Intel Core Ultra 7 355. This chip delivers better performance, although early benchmark results suggest the improvement is relatively modest rather than dramatic. The upgrade costs an additional €100, making it about a 4% price increase over the starting configuration.
The ThinkPad X13 series has long been popular among business users who want a lightweight laptop with durable construction, a comfortable keyboard, and enterprise-friendly features. The Gen 7 model appears to continue that tradition, though the limited launch configurations may leave some buyers waiting for more options.
Lenovo has not yet confirmed when additional ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 variants will become available. It is also unclear when the laptop will launch in more European regions beyond the current markets.
For now, the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 is positioned as a premium compact business laptop with 32GB RAM as standard, modern Intel Core Ultra processor choices, and two battery options. However, buyers looking for more display variety or broader configuration choices may want to wait and see how Lenovo expands the lineup in the coming months.
