Lenovo Yoga Tab Gen 2 Gets 20% Discount With 256GB Storage, 144Hz Display, and Included Keyboard
Lenovo’s latest Yoga Tab Gen 2 has already received a notable price cut, making it a much more tempting option for anyone looking for a premium Android tablet with strong performance, a sharp display, and productivity-ready accessories.
The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version is currently available through Lenovo’s official online store in the United States with a 20% discount, bringing the price down to just under $582. For a recently launched tablet with a high-resolution 144Hz screen, modern connectivity, and included accessories, this deal makes the Yoga Tab Gen 2 stand out in the crowded tablet market.
At the heart of this model is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and 256GB of fast UFS 4.1 storage. That combination gives the tablet enough power for demanding apps, multitasking, streaming, note-taking, web browsing, light creative work, and productivity tasks.
Performance is one of the biggest highlights. The Dimensity 9500s delivers strong benchmark results, with scores reaching close to 7,000 points in Geekbench 7. In real-world use, that means the Yoga Tab Gen 2 should feel fast and responsive for most users, even when switching between multiple apps. The 8GB of RAM also helps keep multitasking smooth.
Graphics performance is solid as well, although the improvement over the previous generation is more modest. Users can expect decent integrated GPU performance for casual gaming, media use, and visual apps, but this is not necessarily a gaming-first tablet. Another thing to keep in mind is that the device can become warm during heavier workloads, which may lead to some thermal throttling when pushed for longer periods.
The display is another major reason to consider this tablet. Lenovo has equipped the Yoga Tab Gen 2 with an 11.1-inch IPS panel using a 3:2 aspect ratio, a sharp 3840 x 2560 resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate. With a pixel density of 415 PPI, text, images, and videos look crisp and detailed.
Color performance is impressive, with strong accuracy and nearly full coverage of the sRGB color range. The screen also reaches around 587 nits of full-screen brightness, which is more than enough for indoor use and many outdoor situations. However, visibility may become more challenging under direct sunlight.
Battery life is one of the tablet’s strongest advantages. The large 11,000mAh battery allows the Yoga Tab Gen 2 to last slightly over 24 hours in Wi-Fi web browsing conditions. That makes it an excellent choice for students, frequent travelers, remote workers, or anyone who wants a tablet that can go a full day and beyond without constantly needing a charger.
Lenovo has also included useful productivity extras. The Yoga Tab Gen 2 supports stylus input, and both a stylus and a 2-in-1 keyboard are included with the tablet. This makes it more appealing for note-taking, sketching, typing documents, replying to emails, and using the tablet as a lightweight laptop alternative.
The tablet also features Wi-Fi 7 support, expandable storage through a microSD card slot, a premium-feeling metal chassis, a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera for video calls and selfies. While tablets are rarely purchased for photography, the camera setup should be practical enough for document scanning, meetings, and casual shots.
There are a few drawbacks to consider. The Yoga Tab Gen 2 does not support display output, which may disappoint users who want to connect it to an external monitor. It is also somewhat heavy at around 480 grams, so it may not feel as comfortable for long handheld reading sessions compared with smaller or lighter tablets.
Overall, the Lenovo Yoga Tab Gen 2 is a compelling option for users who want a large, high-resolution Android tablet with strong productivity features, long battery life, a smooth 144Hz display, and included accessories. With the current 20% discount on the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, it becomes an even more attractive choice for buyers looking for a capable premium tablet without paying full launch price.
