Lenovo is expanding its ThinkBook lineup in China with two fresh AMD-powered models: the ThinkBook 14+ 2026 and ThinkBook 16+ 2026. Aimed at users who want a slim work machine that can still flex serious performance, both laptops arrive with the Ryzen 7 H 255 processor, an APU from AMD’s Hawk Point family that’s essentially a rebadged Ryzen 7 8745H.
Built-in graphics come from the Radeon 780M, a capable iGPU that can handle everyday creative work and casual gaming at Full HD. But Lenovo is also targeting power users who need more graphics muscle. These notebooks include a TGX graphics interface, which works similarly to OCuLink and enables a high-performance external GPU setup. In other words, you can keep the portability of an ultraportable-style laptop and still have a path to desktop-class graphics when you’re at your desk.
In terms of styling, the overall look and feel is familiar and closely resembles Lenovo’s recent ThinkBook design language, keeping things clean and professional rather than flashy.
The biggest differences between the two models come down to screen size and display specs. The ThinkBook 14+ 2026 features a 14.5-inch panel with a sharp 3072 x 1920 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 500 nits of brightness. The ThinkBook 16+ 2026 goes larger with a 16-inch display at 3200 x 2000 resolution, a faster 165Hz refresh rate, and the same 500 nits brightness rating. Both laptops support Dolby Vision, are said to cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and include multiple eye protection features—making them appealing options for long work sessions, photo work, and media consumption.
Beyond the screens, the core specifications are essentially the same. Lenovo pairs the AMD APU with 32GB of LPDDR5x memory running at 7500MT/s, and both laptops support up to 8TB of PCIe 4.0 storage—an unusually high ceiling for a thin-and-light productivity machine.
Connectivity is another strong point. Alongside the TGX port for external graphics, the port selection includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB4 ports with up to 140W power delivery, Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an SD card reader. Other notable features include WiFi 6, a MIL-STD-810H durability rating, a sizable 90Wh battery, and support for Lenovo’s MagicBay accessories.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 5,999 (around $861) for the ThinkBook 14+ 2026, while the ThinkBook 16+ 2026 is listed at CNY 6,199 (about $890). Lenovo hasn’t shared official details yet on a global release or international pricing, but the combination of Ryzen performance, high-refresh high-resolution displays, and eGPU-ready expansion makes these models worth watching for anyone shopping for a versatile work-and-play laptop.
