Lenovo Unveils a New 16-Inch ThinkPad Worldwide, Powered by Intel Lunar Lake and 32GB of RAM

Lenovo has started rolling out the updated ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 globally, giving business users and power multitaskers a fresh 16-inch option built around Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors. Designed for productivity, remote work, and everyday office performance, the ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 focuses on practical configuration choices: modern CPU options, fast memory, multiple storage tiers, and two battery sizes depending on how portable you need your setup to be.

On the processor side, the ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 can be configured with Intel Core Ultra 5 236V, Core Ultra 5 238V, Core Ultra 7 258V, or Core Ultra 7 268V. These options allow buyers to tailor the laptop for typical business workloads like spreadsheets, presentations, web-based tools, and video calls, while higher-tier chips cater better to heavier multitasking and more demanding professional apps.

Memory and storage configurations are also clearly aimed at business buyers who want speed and reliability. Lenovo offers LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, alongside storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB. Whether you’re choosing a system for standard office tasks or a work machine that needs more space for large files and frequent travel use, these choices make it easier to spec the right balance of performance and cost.

Battery life is another area where Lenovo gives customers flexibility. The ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 comes with either a 52.5 Wh battery for a lighter setup or a larger 86 Wh battery for longer unplugged sessions. For professionals who spend full days away from a desk, the larger battery option could be a key upgrade.

For the display, Lenovo offers four panel choices, but they share the same fundamentals: 1200p IPS screens running at 60 Hz. That means buyers can expect consistent viewing angles and a productivity-friendly resolution across the lineup, though it’s clearly tuned more for office work than high-refresh entertainment.

Pricing varies by region, with the ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 starting at $1,739 in the US and £1,409 in the UK for a configuration that includes an Intel Core Ultra 5 228V processor and 32 GB of RAM. In Australia, that same baseline configuration starts at AUD 2,259, while Eurozone pricing ranges from €1,578 to €1,781 depending on the market. Interestingly, the laptop isn’t currently available to order in Canada.

With its large 16-inch screen, configurable Intel Core Ultra lineup, fast LPDDR5X memory, and optional extended battery, the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 positions itself as a straightforward, work-first laptop for professionals who want a modern ThinkPad built for productivity and long-term daily use.
