reMarkable looks set to expand its lineup again, with a fresh E Ink writing tablet reportedly arriving later this year. A new leak claims the company is working on a fifth device, and it could be designed to appeal to a much broader audience than its most premium models.
It’s been about six months since reMarkable introduced the Paper Pro Move, a compact, stylus-enabled E Ink device built for note-takers who want something easy to carry. That product joined the existing family that includes the Paper Pro, reMarkable 2, and the original reMarkable 1. Now, a new report suggests another model is in the pipeline, potentially aimed at people who like the reMarkable paper-like writing feel but want a more accessible, mainstream option.
According to the leak shared on X by well-known tipster Evan Blass, the upcoming device is expected to be called the reMarkable Paper Pure. The post also points to a launch in the second quarter of the year, putting the release window firmly in the first half of the year if the timeline holds.
What makes the rumored Paper Pure especially interesting is the claim that it will be “more mass-market focused” than the Paper Pro or the Paper Pro Move. While the leak doesn’t spell out exactly what changes that implies, the wording suggests reMarkable may be aiming for a model that fits more lifestyles and budgets—possibly by balancing screen size, features, and pricing to attract everyday students, professionals, and casual note-takers rather than only premium buyers. The Paper Pro is known for leaning upscale, including a color display, while the Paper Pro Move targets people who prioritize portability. A “mass-market” reMarkable could land somewhere in the middle, offering a simpler buying decision for a wider range of customers.
For now, there are no confirmed technical specifications. That means details like display size, whether it includes a front light, battery expectations, storage, and stylus features are still unknown. But the competitive landscape gives a hint of what reMarkable may be preparing to face when the Paper Pure arrives.
In the E Ink note-taking tablet market, strong alternatives already exist around the same price band. Notable rivals include the Kindle Scribe (without a front light) priced at $429.99, and the BOOX Go 10.3 (Gen II) lineup, which includes a $429.99 Lumi version with a front light and a $399.99 standard version without one. If reMarkable truly plans to go more mainstream, the Paper Pure may need to deliver an appealing mix of writing feel, reading comfort, and overall value—especially if it’s positioned against established choices in the $399–$429 range.
Until reMarkable confirms anything, it’s best to treat the name and release window as early information rather than a final announcement. Still, if the leak is accurate, the reMarkable Paper Pure could be the company’s next big move to bring its distraction-free, paper-like note-taking experience to a larger audience in 2026.
