Leaked Casio G-Shock Luxe Black Adds Solar and Bluetooth for Just $20 More

Casio G-Shock Luxe Black GBM-2100LXB-1A2 leak points to solar power, Bluetooth, and a November launch

Casio’s popular G-Shock 2100 lineup could soon get one of its most appealing Luxe Black models yet. A newly leaked model, reportedly called the Casio G-Shock GBM-2100LXB-1A2, is expected to bring Tough Solar charging and Bluetooth Mobile Link to the stylish blacked-out collection.

The watch is said to launch in November with an estimated price of around $280. If accurate, that would make it especially competitive, since the standard GBM-2100-1A already sells for about the same price in the US. In other words, buyers may get the Luxe Black styling without paying a premium over the regular solar and Bluetooth-equipped GBM-2100.

Within the Luxe Black range, the pricing also looks interesting. The metal-covered GM-2100LXB is priced around $260, while the upcoming GBM-2100LXB-1A2 would reportedly cost only $20 more. That small increase would add two major upgrades: Tough Solar power and Bluetooth connectivity. The resin GA-2100LXB sits lower in the lineup at around $145, but it does not include those features.

The biggest visual change appears to be the color treatment. Previous Luxe Black models released in July used black cases with either silver or gold accents. The new GBM-2100LXB-1A2 is expected to introduce blue detailing, giving the watch a cooler and more modern look.

The dial reportedly uses a matte, fine-grained finish designed to absorb light and reduce glare. Casio is also said to have adjusted the hour markers, making them thinner and removing the stepped edge seen on some other models. Another standout detail is the dial base, which swaps the familiar brick-style texture for a square geometric pattern. Around the digital display, a blue vapor-deposited ring adds a subtle premium touch.

The case design should keep the rugged character G-Shock fans expect. The bezel is said to be ion-plated for better scratch resistance, with a mix of matte polishing and fine hairline brushing for a more refined finish. The strap is reportedly made from bio-based resin and features the raised square texture used on the GBM-2100 series.

Underneath the design upgrades, the watch is expected to retain the core specifications of the GBM-2100 family. That includes 200-meter water resistance, a glass-fiber reinforced inner case, and a steel bezel. The case reportedly measures 49.3 x 44.4 x 11.9 mm, with a weight of about 72 grams.

As for features, the Casio G-Shock GBM-2100LXB-1A2 should include world time, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, automatic calendar, double LED backlight, and Hands Shift, which moves the analog hands away from the digital display for easier reading. Bluetooth Mobile Link would allow the watch to connect to a smartphone for automatic time adjustment and easier setting control, while Tough Solar would reduce the need for battery changes by keeping the watch charged through light exposure.

Casio has not officially announced the GBM-2100LXB-1A2 yet, so the final release date, pricing, and regional availability may still change. However, if the leaked details are accurate, this could become one of the most attractive G-Shock 2100 models for buyers who want a stylish black design, solar charging, Bluetooth features, and everyday durability in one package.
