Casio G-Shock GA-2100 Collaboration Debuts with Limited-Edition Packaging

Casio G-Shock GA-2100-7APRY-KIT Debuts as a Yunnan Exclusive With Lucky Elephant Artwork

Casio has introduced a fresh regional-exclusive G-Shock watch, and this one brings a strong artistic identity to the fan-favorite GA-2100 series. The new Casio G-Shock GA-2100-7APRY-KIT is currently limited to the Yunnan City G-Shock store in China and arrives as a collaboration with Chinese artist Cui Xinwen.

The watch is built around the clean white GA-2100 base, often recognized for its slim octagonal case shape and tough everyday design. While the core watch keeps the familiar G-Shock formula, the collaboration adds personality through custom artwork, collectible accessories, and special packaging.

The theme centers on Cui Xinwen’s “Lucky Elephant” character, a fitting tribute to Yunnan province. Yunnan is known as the only region in China where wild Asian elephants still live, making the elephant motif more than just a decorative choice. It gives the watch a local cultural connection while also making it stand out from standard GA-2100 releases.

The GA-2100-7APRY-KIT uses a carbon fiber-reinforced resin case and the trusted analog-digital layout associated with the GA-2100 line. It also features 20 BAR water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear, outdoor use, and casual adventures. The main case and dial remain fairly understated, allowing the strap artwork to become the main attraction.

Cui Xinwen’s Lucky Elephant illustrations appear across both sides of the white band in a black ink-style design. The character is shown in multiple playful poses, giving the strap a lively, hand-drawn feel. Blue strap holes add a small but effective contrast against the white band, helping the design feel more colorful without becoming too busy.

The “KIT” part of the model name is important because this release is more than just a watch. The package includes a black-and-white checkered rope lanyard fitted with three enamel charms inspired by Cui Xinwen’s character world. These include a blue elephant wearing a red mushroom cap, a dancing yellow character, and a teal abstract figure.

Each charm is attached with a swivel clasp, so owners can remove, rearrange, or use them separately. This gives the set a customizable feel and makes it more appealing to collectors who enjoy limited-edition G-Shock accessories.

The presentation box also adds to the collectible appeal. The GA-2100-7APRY-KIT comes in a sturdy light-blue box covered in Lucky Elephant artwork, making the packaging feel like part of the collaboration rather than a simple container. For G-Shock fans who value special editions, this kind of exclusive presentation can be just as important as the watch itself.

Casio has not announced pricing or wider availability for the GA-2100-7APRY-KIT. For now, it appears to be a Yunnan regional store exclusive, meaning international buyers may have difficulty finding it through regular retail channels.

This release follows Casio’s ongoing strategy of creating regional GA-2100 exclusives in China. By combining the popular CasiOak-style design with local art and culture, the GA-2100-7APRY-KIT becomes more than another color variant. It is a compact collectible built around place, character design, and limited availability.

For fans of the Casio G-Shock GA-2100 series, the new Lucky Elephant edition is one of the more charming regional releases to appear recently. Its clean white base, illustrated strap, charm lanyard kit, and exclusive packaging make it a standout piece for collectors who enjoy G-Shock watches with a story behind them.
