Leak Suggests Anker Soundcore Space 2 Headphones Will Last Longer—But Cost More

A new leak suggests Anker’s Soundcore lineup is about to get a notable refresh, with the Soundcore Space 2 (also referenced as Space Two) arriving as the long-awaited successor to the budget-friendly Soundcore Space One. If the details are accurate, shoppers can expect a redesigned pair of over-ear headphones with upgraded specs, significantly improved battery life, and a higher launch price than the previous generation.

According to the leaked information, the Anker Soundcore Space 2 carries the model number D1402 and is set to feature 40mm double-layer diaphragm drivers. On the call and noise-handling side, it’s said to include three microphones along with 4-stage low-frequency noise cancellation, positioning it as an affordable noise-canceling headphone option with more advanced tuning than before.

The leak also claims the Soundcore Space 2 will continue to support LDAC for Hi-Res Wireless Audio, which is a key feature for listeners who prioritize higher-quality Bluetooth audio (when paired with compatible devices). Wear detection is also expected, allowing the headphones to automatically pause and resume playback depending on whether you’re wearing them.

Connectivity is another area tipped for improvement. The Soundcore Space 2 is rumored to offer Bluetooth 6.1 plus Bluetooth Multipoint, letting you stay connected to two devices at once—handy for switching between a phone and a laptop without constantly re-pairing.

The biggest headline, though, is battery life. The leak claims up to 50 hours of playback with active noise cancellation (ANC) turned on, and up to 70 hours with ANC off (at 50% volume). That’s a sizeable jump from the Soundcore Space One, which is rated at 40 hours with ANC on and 55 hours with ANC off. Charging is expected to be handled via USB-C, and fast charging is reportedly included too, with a 5-minute charge delivering up to 4 hours of listening time.

In terms of comfort and portability, the Space Two is said to weigh 264 grams, which is slightly heavier than the Space One by about 5 grams—likely a minor difference in day-to-day use.

As for availability and pricing, the leak points to a US launch date of April 21 with a retail price of $129.99. That would make it more expensive than the Space One’s typical $99.99 tier, but the added features and major battery upgrade could help justify the increase for buyers who want longer runtimes and updated wireless specs. Colors mentioned in the leak include Jet Black, Linen White, and Seafoam Green.

If you’ve been waiting for a new value-focused set of noise-canceling over-ear headphones with better battery life, multipoint Bluetooth, and LDAC support, the Soundcore Space 2 is shaping up to be one to watch—especially if these leaked specs hold true at launch.
