Juno Tab 4 13-inch Linux Tablet Opens for Pre-Orders With Intel Core Ultra Chip and 1TB SSD
Juno has opened pre-orders for the Juno Tab 4 13-inch, a new Linux tablet aimed at users who want a larger portable device with desktop-style flexibility. The tablet arrives with premium hardware, a detachable keyboard, stylus support, and a price that places it firmly in the high-end productivity category.
The Juno Tab 4 13-inch is now available to pre-order for $989 in the United States and £949 including VAT in the United Kingdom. Buyers can also choose to have the tablet shipped with an encrypted disk for an additional $12 or £10, offering an extra layer of data protection for privacy-focused users.
However, this is not a tablet that will arrive immediately. Juno says production will begin after the pre-order campaign ends, though it has not confirmed when that campaign will close. Shipping is expected to start around 90 to 100 days after pre-orders end, which means early buyers may not receive the device until around October 2026 at the earliest.
For the price, the Juno Tab 4 13-inch delivers a strong set of specifications. It features a 13-inch IPS display with a 1600 × 2560 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and support for stylus input. Power comes from an Intel Core Ultra 5 115U processor, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
Storage is another highlight. The tablet includes a removable 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD, giving users more flexibility than many modern tablets that rely on soldered storage. This could make the device especially appealing to Linux users, developers, students, and professionals who value repairability and upgrade options.
The Juno Tab 4 13-inch also includes a 5MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera, making it suitable for video calls, document scanning, and basic photography. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, two USB 3.1 Type-C ports with video output support, and one USB 3.0 Type-A port.
Not everything is included, though. The larger model does not offer a microSD card slot or LTE connectivity. Users who need mobile data support may want to wait for more details on the smaller 10.5-inch LTE version.
The tablet is built with a magnesium alloy body and includes stereo speakers, a microphone, and a dual-fan cooling system. Its 42.71Wh battery is paired with a 65W charger, and Juno includes both a detachable backlit keyboard and a stylus in the package.
At nearly $1,000, the Juno Tab 4 13-inch is clearly designed for a specific audience rather than casual tablet buyers. It may appeal most to Linux enthusiasts looking for a tablet-first device with laptop-style accessories, a large display, modern Intel hardware, and user-replaceable storage.
The smaller Juno Tab 4 10.5-inch LTE model was announced alongside the 13-inch version, but pricing and launch timing for that model have not yet been revealed.
