iQOO is getting ready to launch a new compact gaming tablet in China, and the company has already revealed several key details ahead of the official debut. Called the iQOO Pad Ultra, the device is aimed at mobile gamers who want a portable tablet with fast touch response, dedicated cooling, and gaming-focused hardware in a slim metal design.
The iQOO Pad Ultra features an 8.8-inch display, making it smaller and easier to handle than many full-size tablets. Despite its gaming focus, the device keeps a sleek profile with a thickness of just 5.74mm. It also uses an all-metal body and weighs 298g, which should make it comfortable for longer handheld gaming sessions.
One of the biggest highlights is the tablet’s touch performance. iQOO says the Pad Ultra supports up to 500Hz multi-touch sampling and up to 5,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling. That high-speed input response is designed to make games feel more responsive, especially in fast-paced titles where every tap, swipe, and movement matters.
The tablet also comes with a new-generation touch system and a gyroscope, which should help improve motion controls and aiming precision in supported games. For added immersion, iQOO has equipped the Pad Ultra with symmetrical dual speakers and dual X-axis linear motors. iQOO has also shown off gaming accessories designed for the Pad Ultra. These include a stretchable game controller and a rear grip, both built to improve handling and control during gameplay. The company is also preparing a gaming technology event on September 23, where it plans to introduce its “3+2” gaming technology framework. iQOO has confirmed that the Pad Ultra uses its new-generation Monster Super Core Engine along with a self-developed scheduler. However, the company has not yet shared detailed information about how these technologies work or what performance improvements users can expect.
The iQOO Pad Ultra is scheduled to launch in China on September 29 at 7 PM Beijing time, which is 11 AM GMT. Pricing has not been announced yet, and iQOO has not confirmed whether the tablet will be released in global markets.
