A UK-based electric scooter company, Bo, has introduced an electrifying development in high-performance scooters, intriguingly dubbed “The Turbo.” Drawing inspiration from their past projects with Williams Formula One, Bo aims to shatter records by reaching speeds of 100 mph, certified by the Guinness World Records.
The Turbo’s design hinges on an aluminum monocurve structure, shared with Bo’s Model-M e-scooter. Equipped with a 24,000 W dual motor system, advanced traction control, and an impressive power-to-weight ratio, this scooter is geared up to claim the title of the world’s fastest.
Bo has outfitted The Turbo with features akin to Formula One tech, such as ram-air intakes inspired by F1 brake duct designs, ensuring the powertrain stays cool. The impressive motor promises a top speed that rivals even a Tesla, while the 1,800 Wh battery offers a remarkable range of 150 miles on a single charge.
A select number of The Turbo scooters are set to be produced, with a starting price of $29,500. Details about this exciting model can be found on Bo’s official website.
In addition to the high-speed Turbo, Bo is launching the road-ready Bo Model-M in the US, available from August 2025. While the pricing for the US market remains a mystery, the Model-M stands out with a 400 W motor, peaking at 1200 W, and a 672 Wh battery. It promises a top speed of 21 mph and a range of 37.2 miles, all wrapped up in an aluminum monocurve build. The scooter also features app-based controls and a regenerative e-braking system with e-ABS to enhance the riding experience.
